Celebrating 10 Years of SBA Design: A Decade of Growth, Partnership and Looking Ahead

This month marks a major milestone for SBA Design as we celebrate our 10th anniversary.

What started as a one-person venture has grown into a trusted architectural services company, working alongside some of the UK’s leading housebuilders, including Barratt Homes, Crest Nicholson and Taylor Wimpey. Over the past decade, we’ve built a thriving team of talented professionals dedicated to delivering high-quality architectural solutions across the residential sector.

As we celebrate this significant milestone, we’re taking a moment to reflect on our journey, recognise the people who have supported us along the way, and look ahead to what the future holds.

A Message from Martin Beattie, Founder & Technical Director:

“It’s hard to believe that back in 2014 I stepped away from the developer world and started out on my own. It certainly hasn’t been an easy journey.

Along the way there have been plenty of challenges - learning what it’s like to be on the other side as a consultant, managing and growing a team, adapting to changing markets, and always looking ahead to the next opportunity.

Looking back now, it remains one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, both personally and professionally. It has given me the opportunity to secure my family’s future, build a business I’m genuinely proud of, and create the freedom to work on my own terms.

Professionally, it’s incredibly rewarding to see how SBA Design has evolved. From being a one- man business, through the unprecedented challenges of COVID, to becoming a well-established architectural services company working with some of the UK’s largest housing developers - it’s been an amazing journey.

Reaching our 10-year anniversary simply wouldn’t have been possible without the clients who have trusted us and continued to work with us over the years. Your confidence in our team has enabled us not only to survive but to grow and thrive.

To everyone we’ve had the pleasure of working with over the past decade, thank you. Your trust, support and collaboration have helped shape SBA Design into the business it is today. Quite simply, without you, there wouldn’t be an SBA Design.
